CALL FOR PAPERS


Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is an integrated methodology including various techniques and tools used to determine the product strategies, define the customer requirements, and convert these requirements and strategies into design characteristics. Dokuz Eylul University (DEU) Faculty of Business became the leading institution for QFD when the First National QFD Symposium was organized in April, 2002, and in recents years, continues to work on this methodology to encourage the successful applications and share the current issues about QFD both in Turkey and in the world. For this purpose, DEU Faculty of Business held the 11th International Symposium on QFD in 2005 with successful organization. DEU Faculty of Business plans to add The 2nd National Symposium on QFD to this QFD activities chain. The symposium which will be held on March 19-21st 2008 in Ýzmir, is open for all academicians and executives from Turkey and the world. Papers written about the following topics (and related) will be accepted for the symposium:

SYMPOSIUM LANGUAGE

Beside the Turkish People, foreigners are expected to participate in the symposium, although it is organized as a national symposium, thus, the papers written in Turkish and English will be accepted. At least one session will be organized for the papers written in English.

The proceedings will be published, and also the selected papers will be published as a the special issue of the Journal of Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Business.
